About the event

Creativity infuses life with a different sort of depth and richness. The project is intended to develop a culture of empowerment and boost creativity, audacity and talent in local activism and social cohesion.

We aim to do this by helping you better understand how to use your creative talents and skills to address mental health, wellbeing and social issues. The programme provides support to help you throughout your own creative process, from conception to completion and produce something creative that can be showcased to an audience which can be their peer group.

Through ‘Release’, we aim to work with your developmental drives and foster creativity at the same time. The programme enhances this divergent thinking and provides innovative and creative ways for you to get involved in the discussion of social issues and offers a platform and a voice for you on social issues as a means of creating a better society.

We have mobilised facilitators and tutors all who are experts of the various creative art expressions to conduct the sessions. We aim to increase your chance of employment in desired full time employment with good and certain wages by enabling you to develop unique skills like songwriting.

Through our ‘Release’  therapy group sessions , we aim to curve the stigma on mental health and equip you with how to manage your mental health and  the knowledge of where you can seek assistance with their mental health seek.

With our STEPS mentorship programme, we hope to give you a step by step guide on how you can gain employment, valuable work experience, how to maximise their time at university or current job role to pivot you into a more desirable position.
